03 Jul New Accommodation
Providential have recently launched two new Supported Temporary Accommodation (STA) homes in the Parramatta region and Hills District. These new homes will be dedicated to providing supported care for women and children, including domestic violence victims.
Guests at our accommodation will also receive one-on-one care and support from our Providential Homes Case Workers.
We believe that our mission sets us apart from commercial accommodation providers, and is demonstrated by the higher-quality standards and added value we bring to STA. More than just accommodation, Providential Homes’ support model links clients with local housing, health and social services to enable their swift return to stable housing and address the underlying causes that have led to their homelessness.
Our workers use trauma-informed and person-centred approaches to engage with clients – many of whom are traumatised by drug and alcohol and/or mental health issues, or other experiences. A notable aspect of our strategy is our employment of many ex-clients in our STA program who can better relate to client needs through their lived experience of overcoming homelessness. Our caretakers and support workers receive tailored induction and STA service training covering assessment of client needs, responses to those needs, referral pathways and housing transitions
