Jake’s Story

Temporary Housing

Found a safe share house

After leaving a home marked by domestic violence, 19-year-old Jake made the brave decision to move interstate in search of safety and a fresh start. Scared and completely alone, he arrived at our refuge with nothing but a backpack.

During his stay, Providential Homes supported Jake in searching for private rental house shares, a journey that took time, persistence and courage. Eventually, he secured a place with two other young men around his age. With a roof over his head and a safe environment, Jake is finally able to begin building the future he deserves.

Names have been changed to protect the privacy and safety of our guests.
