Margaret’s Story

Temporary Housing

Moved into social housing

At 58, Margaret never imagined being asked to leave her daughter’s home after a painful family breakdown. Feeling lost, she found refuge at our women’s shelter. During this time Providential Homes helped her navigate the housing system and linked her in with various support systems. Weeks later, Margaret was offered a social housing unit, a fresh start that gave her a sense of stability.

As time passed, she focused on healing and rebuilding her life. She eventually reached out to her daughter, and though it took effort, their relationship began to mend. Through perseverance and time, Margaret not only found a new home but also a renewed connection with the family she thought she’d lost.
