Daniel came to our crisis accommodation after experiencing homelessness and needing short-term support. From the beginning of his stay, he was a respectful and engaged guest who consistently complied with the property’s terms and conditions. Daniel was highly motivated to improve his situation and actively worked toward securing a stable exit outcome.
While in crisis accommodation, Daniel worked closely with staff and was referred into our six-month Transitional Housing Program in Mt Druitt. Throughout the program, he demonstrated strong commitment by applying for both private rental properties and social housing options.
Just one month into the transitional program, Daniel’s efforts were rewarded when he was approved for a social housing property in Telopea. To support his move, Daniel was also referred to our Furniture Assist Program; however, he was already well prepared, with furniture stored and ready for use.
Daniel’s journey highlights the positive outcomes that can be achieved through client motivation, appropriate support, and early exit planning. His transition into long-term housing marks an important step toward stability and independence.
